Bio

Son of Henry & Anna (Hergenroder) Kruger. Married to Marie Hegemann on 10-15-1952 at St.'s Peter & Paul Catholic Church at Howells, NE. drafted into the Army June 8, 1942. In June of 1944 his unit landed on Omaha Beach and helped recapture Cherbourg from the German forces. He was awarded several medals including the Bronze Star. After his discharge on Dec. 4, 1945, he worked for American Airlines as a clerk in Battle Creek, Mich., but eventually returned to Schuyler to work with his father and brothers who owned Kruger's Bar.
