Bunn Marcus Pelham, of Austin Texas was born on May 6th, 1920 in Limestone County near Groesbeck Texas. Bunn Pelham passed away quietly at home on June 2nd 1998 in Austin Texas. Bunn was a superlative ceramic tile artist and a member of the Brick Layers Union No. 8 in Austin applying his trade to the surrounding central Texas area with tile and ceramic design and intricate tile installations matched by none. Bunn Marcus Pelham honorably served his country in the US Army and later in the US Navy during WW2 following in the footsteps of his younger Navy brother Carl Winston Pelham. Bunn Marcus served on the USS Mullany DD528 in the Pacific theater of war. Bunn was always proud of his little “tin can” destroyer and his Military service; a picture of his ship always graced the wall of our living room. Bunn Marcus was a loving, gentle and caring father and grandfather always providing for the needs and fulfilling the dreams of his family. Bunn was honored to carry on the Pelham name and the heritage of his ancestors. Bunn Marcus was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Icy Pelham of Navasota Texas, his three brothers Nathan Ben Pelham, Carl Winston Pelham, Elra Alton Pelham and sister Lillian Velma "Pelham" Wilson . Bunn is survived by one younger sister Eva Thelma “Pelham” Walters, his son Marcus Lee Pelham of Midland Texas and his daughter Diana Marie Pelham Huntington. His grandchildren are Joshua Lee Pelham and Jacob Stonewall Pelham of Midland Texas and Russell Huntington of Aledo Texas. Bunn Marcus Pelham was buried on June 5th 1998 in Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, Austin Texas with full military honors.
