US Army World War II Paris News, The (TX) Tuesday, September 5, 2006 Johnnie Neff McBride COOPER - Johnnie Neff McBride , 86, of Klondike passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, at Birchwood Manor Nursing Home in Cooper. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Bryan officiating. Interment follows in New Klondike Cemetery. The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Delta County. He was the son of John Joshua McBride and Rhoda Nerva Dancer McBride. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a mechanic and farmer, lived in Klondike most of his life and was a member of Klondike Baptist Church. He married Nooma Rainey on July 21, 1939. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Survivors include his wife, Nooma McBride of Cooper; son, Benny McBride of Edgewood; daughters, Kay Robertson of Klondike, and Melverne Ozment of Ben Franklin; seven granddaughters and 14 great-grandchildren.
