Geneva "Snookie" Chaffin, age 87, of Palestine, Texas, was called to her eternal home in Heaven on Monday, the 31st day of January 2022. Mrs. Chaffin was born on the 10th day of March 1934, in Latexo, Texas, to parents Earnest David Graham and Ruby Roberts Graham. Mrs. Chaffin was a dedicated mother, wife, and grandmother, consistently giving of her time to support and care for her family. A pivotal figure sparing her time in work and play – whether a business partner with her husband in their auto parts store, sewing matching outfits for her and Bill's Camping Squares, square dancing events, prom dresses for her daughters, teaching her grandchildren the hard work of farming by picking peas and shelling. She was multitalented with interests in making dolls, Christmas decorations, canning, and the best cook the family has ever known. Loved by many for the love she consistently gave. She joins in Heaven her parents, Earnest and Ruby Graham; husband, Billy "Bill" Jack Chaffin; daughter, Connie J. Bowen; son, Billy "Stan" Chaffin; brothers, Bob and David Graham; sisters, Louise Ray, Bonnie Tucker, and Brenda Wooten. Mrs. Chaffin is survived by her daughters, Kim Holliday and husband, Mike; Darla Edwards and husband, Jesse; brothers, Mitchell, Glenn, and Don Graham; grandchildren, Tammy Hensch, Penny Chaffin, Billy Chaffin, Jennifer Legg, Shannon Bowen, Kristy Deal, Gregg Harris, Amanda Langham, and Kristen Sparkman, and seventeen great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service to honor Mrs. Chaffin will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 4th day of February 2022, in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Brother David Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Guiceland Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family, beginning at one o'clock, at Rhone Funeral Home prior to the start of the service.
