Bio

Bill was born in Jones Co. to the late J.H. & Emilia Frances Kutach Townsend. He married Louise Sconce on 02/15/1939 in Hamlin. Bill was a member of the National Guard and Avoca Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Gary Don & Doug Townsend. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Louise Townsend; 2 sons Les Townsend and wife Linda of Porter and Tyron "Ty" Townsend and wife Jeannie of Sweetwater; 2 granddaughters; 5 grandsons; & 16 great-grandchildren.
