Jack D. Mullican, age 83 of Frankston, Texas died Oct. 1, 2009 in Tyler, Texas. He was born Dec. 31, 1925 in Bristol, the son of John Layfette Mullican and Dovie Mae Fowler Mullican. He was a Baptist and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Waco, Blue Lodge and Shriners. He was a forklift driver at Trane and former circulation manager at the Palestine Herald-Press. Mr. Mullican was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Mullican; and sister, Marie Rhodes. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sallie Mullican; son, Michael D. Mullican and wife Norma; daughters, Jackie Waldon and husband Jerry, Patricia Giglotto, and Debra Jo Crow; brother, Sammy Mullican and wife Maxine; special friend, Jody; six grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
