HUBBARD - Frank V. Vasek, age 84, of Hubbard, formerly of Penelope, passed away December 12, 1986 in a Hubbard nursing home. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. William Spong. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. December 15 at the Catholic Church of the Nativity in Penelope with the Rev. William Spong and Msgr. Anthony F. Drozd as co-celebrants. Burial followed in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Mr. Vasek was born January 28, 1902 in Temple, the son of Vince and Victoria Vasek. He married Martha Cernosek November, 1924 in Penelope. She preceded him in death April 15, 1981. He was a retired self employed farmer and a member of the KJT and the Knights of Columbus No. 2305. He was also a member of the Catholic Church of the Nativity in Penelope. He is survived by two sisters, Agnes Drozd of Ennis and Olivia Dodd of El Paso. A son, Daviel V. Vasek preceded him in death in 1928 and a daughter, Naomi Vasek also preceded him in death in 1981. Pallbearers were Joe Frank Divin, Edwin Hanzlicek, Anton Peterson, Daniel Vanek, Anthony Peterson, Michael Cernosek, Leo C. Wrbas and Eugene E. Hejl.
