Bio

Mary Elizabeth Evans moved to Jack County, Texas in 1874. Mary Elizabeth Evans married C.A. Norman on 12 July 1891 at Bryson, Texas. He preceded her in death. Services for Mrs. Mary E. Norman, 72, were held at the Methodist Church officiated by Rev. G.C. House, the pastor. Survived by three daughters - Mrs. E.D. Davis, Mrs. C.L. Shockey, Miss Gladys Milburn; six step-children - Mrs. Pearl Gaines, Mrs. Mary Tipps, Mrs. Nannie Leekil, H.L. Norman, T.H. Norman, W.C. Norman; two sisters - Mrs. W.L. Harper and Mrs. S.C. Smith; one brother - W.P. Evans. Mrs. Norman had lived in and near Bryson for the past sixty years. The Jacksboro Gazette April 5, 1934 page 4 Mary Elizabeth Norwood on death certificate which is incorrect.
