BRIDGEPORT -- Fay Gilley, 79, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 in Paradise. Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Cates Street Church of Christ. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Bro. Roger Rhodes will officiate, assisted by Bro. Shorty Fallin. Pallbearers: Calvin Pewitt, Jeff Pewitt, Cody Gilley, Roper Gilley, Ronnie Andreasen, Garrett Underwood, Eric Rutledge, Brian Holley, and Keith Eustace. Willie Fay Gilley was born on July 1, 1930, the daughter of Fred and Nora (Stevens) Hall, in Springtown, Texas. She married Tom Gilley on May 15, 1949 in Olney, Texas. Fay was a member of the Cates Street Church Of Christ where she was a volunteer and the Vacation Bible School refreshment coordinator. She was also a volunteer at the Childrens Homes in Keller, the Christ's Haven in Keller, the Trinity Health Care and the August Health Care in Bridgeport. Fay was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband, her great grandson, Rex, two brothers, Lewis and Gene Hall. Those left behind to cherish her memory are: son, Noel Gilley and wife Teri of Paradise; daughters, Gladys Pewitt and husband Jerry of Paradise, Beth Andreasen and husband Earnest of Bridgeport, Tommie Jo Underwood and husband Von of Paradise; 10 grandchildren: Paula, Calvin, Jeff, Ronnie, Christi, Julie, Chrystal, Garrett, Cody, and Roper; 13 great grandchildren: Shayna, Taylor, Allie, Mario, Zachary, Fay, Conner, Madison, Cole, Tuff, Macy, Gunner, and Kashton; sister, Sue Bentley of bridgeport; brother, Perry Hall of Decatur.
