Services for Thomas Eugene "Gene" Hall, 64, were conducted July 19, 1999 at Powles Funeral Home Chapel in Rockwell, North Carolina. The service was offici- ated by the Reverend Gene Edwards, pastor of Lane Strect Baptist Church in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Thomas Eugene "Gene" Hall was born on November 9, 1934 in Springtown to the late Fred and Nora Stevens Hall. He attended Bridgeport schools and was a self- employed plumber and carpenter. He worked at Northland Pioneer College in Arizona before retiring. He died July 15 in Hartsville, South Carolina. One brother, Lewis Ed- ward Hall preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Burleson Hall, whom he married in 1973. Also surviving are two sons, three daughters, one brother, Perry Hall of Decatur, and two sisters: Fay Gilley and Sue Bentley, both of Bridgeport. He had ten grandchildren and one great-grandson. Interment was in Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell, North Carolina.
