MCLAIN Maxine Cooper McLain, 84, a native of Baldwin County and a resident of Rosinton, died Sunday, April 11, 2010. She was a teacher at Gulf Shores First Baptist Church Development Center and was known as "Nanny." She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Elberta. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.E. "Mutt" McLain Sr. Survivors include a daughter, Cathy (Donald) Henson of Gateswood; three sons, Danny (Sherry) McLain Jr. of Foley, Larry McLain of Silverhill and Tony (Jana) McLain of Rosinton; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 14 from the chapel of Mack Funeral Home with Chaplin Michael Banhem officiating. Burial followed at Old Cooper Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday, April 13 at the funeral home. The family requests memorial donations be made to Old Cooper Cemetery Maintenance Fund, P.O. Box 41, Robertsdale, AL 36567. Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale. A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Old Cooper Cemetery Maintenance Fund P.O.
