Cooper Published Thursday, January 8, 1970, The Onlooker, Foley, Alabama, Page 8-A Graveside services for Brooks J. Cooper, 72 of Robertsdale, were held Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. at the Old Cooper Cemetery with Rev. Earl Godwin officiating. He passed away Jan. 4 in the South Baldwin Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Baldwin County and was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Katie Cooper, Robertsdale; two daughters; Mrs. Walter Lowery, Robertsdale, Mrs. Maxine McLain, Robertsdale; six sisters, Mrs. Florence Barginear, Robertsdale, Mrs. Mamie Mayo, Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Olivia Walker, Canton, Ohio Mrs. Grace Hobbs, Robertsdale, Mrs. Emma Foehrenbach, Canton, Ohio and Mrs. Chloe Opry, Brewton, Ala. There are three surviving brothers, Claude Cooper, Robertsdale, W.B. "Bill" Cooper, Robertsdale, Elmer Cooper, Miflin, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Willard Barginear, Grover Hobbs, Arthur DeGraf, Charles Cooper, Gail Cooper and Alonzo Ard. Honorary pallbearers were, A. A. Irwin, Price Grubbs, Leslie Taylor, Merrill Ard, Bobby Starr, Rex Childress, Austin Yaughn, Buzzy Hammond, Charlie Henson, Jasper Lowery, Angie Bertolla and Alva Langham. Funeral arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale.
