Mr. Ab John Sulak, 56, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at his home in Telico. He was born June 24, 1950 in Waco, the son of Abdon A. and Helen Divin Sulvak. He was reared in Itasca and Ennis, graduating from St. John High School in 1968. He was a member of the Sulak Brothers Band, the Melody Master Band, Country Boys and Jak-se-do Band. He was a truck driver for Ennis Automotive for 30 years. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the SPJST, KJT, Sokol and athe P.O.L.K. of America. He loved to fish and was a former Polka Festival King. He is survived by a son, Abdon "Sonny" Sulak, Jr. of Ennis; a daughter, Amy Jo Sulak of Ennis; his father, Abdon A. Sulak of Arlington; three brothers, Lawrence Sulak of Ennis, Leon Sulak, Sr. of Duncanville and Bill Grant of Brownfield, TX; three sisters, Lydia Murrish of Duncanville, Jo Wesley of Ennis and Cecilia McAfee of Arlington; and one grandchild, Noah Sulak. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Sulak, a sister, Mary Helen Sulak and two brothers, Joseph and George Sulak. Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Keever Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in the St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Henry Drozd as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
