Bio
Irene O. Gulledge, age 96, a native of Elberta, AL and a resident of Rosinton for 75 years left to be with Jesus Saturday, September 26, 2009. Mrs. Gulledge is preceded in death by parents Ira & Edna Olds, two sons, Ronnie and Ocie, two sisters Geraldine Shipp and Phoebe Shipp, brother Harold Olds. She taught piano and organ for over fifty years throughout Baldwin County and served as organist and pianist for the Rosinton and Loxley United Methodist Churches. She is survived by one daughter, Imogene G. Fletcher of Mobile, AL; two sons, William M. "Bill" Gulledge of Loxley, AL, Gaylord Gulledge of Semmes, AL; one sister, Lois Dukes of Satsuma, AL; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Loxley United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Batchelor officiating. Burial will be in the New Cooper Cemetery, Rosinton, AL. A visitation will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Mack Guneral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Loxley United Methodist Church, 1062 S. Cypress Street, Loxley, AL 36551.
