Jamison was quietly solemnized at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Kelly. The marriage vows were given by Rev. A. N. Julien, pastor of the Christian church of this city, in the presence of relatives and a few intimate friends. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Jamison motored to Oklahoma City for a few days' stay, after which they will return to Davis and continue to reside here. The bride is one of Davis' most attractive and lovely young ladies. She has grown to womanhood here and her winsome ways and fine disposition have won her countless friends. She graduated from Davis high school in 1926. Mr. Jamison formerly resided in Wapanucka and has lived in Davis the past three or four years. He was connected with the City Drug Store about three years, and in February bought the Palace Drug Store which he now operates. He is a graduate of the Little Rock School of Pharmacy, and is registered as a pharmacist in both Arkansas and Oklahoma. He is a young man of fine habits and good business qualifications, and is one of our city's most popular young business men. Mr. and Mrs. Jamison start married life under auspicious circumstances, and their many friends are pleased to extend hearty congratulations and best wishes for their future welfare. ********************************** Printed in The Davis News on Mar. 18, 1982; Reprinted with permission THOMAS S. JAMISON Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist church Saturday, March 13, for Thomas S. Jamison, 86, who died March 10, at his home in Davis. Rev. Charles Nordean officiated. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery with arrangements by Bahner-Fox Funeral Home. Graveside services were handled by the American Legion Post 148. Born Sept. 12, 1895 at Claritia, I.T., he had lived in Davis since 1926. He married Lyla Smith Nov. 5, 1975 in Davis. A prominent citizen of Davis, he was a retired pharmacist and former owner of the Palace Drug Store in Davis. He was a veteran of World War I, and had been a church board member of both the Methodist and First Christian church, a school board member for 23 years and a former member of the Kiwanis Club serving as president in 1944. Survivors include his wife, Lyla, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanine Goodloe of Midwest City; one son, Tom Jamison of Midwest City; one sister, Mrs. Faith Allison of Byers, Tex.; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Bob Fulton, Jimmy Smith, D. O. Salter, Cecil Bahner, L. W. Ensminger, and Harold Oakley. Honorary pallbearers were Elmo Rainbolt, Charles Broaddrick, Homer Deel, Dick Blasdel, Dr. D. M. Eggenberg and Jerry Pullen.
