Bio

From The Palmer Journal, July 14, 1960, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Cranson Carlyle Robinson, son of the late James H. Robinson and Louise Nels Robinson, was born February 10, 1905 in Gage Valley, Nebraska. He grew to manhood in this vicinity and has resided in this area his entire life. He attended public school and the St. Paul Business and Normal College. He taught school in Howard County for several terms. Cranson had not enjoyed good health for some time and for the past several months his condition had caused considerable concern to his family, however he was uncomplaining and few knew the seriousness of his illness. He continued to work part of each day with the assistance of Mrs. Robinson. Thursday morning while preparing to go to Grand Island for further tests concerning his health, he was stricken with a heart attack that claimed his life. On August 17, 1927 he was married to Eatheal L. Manka. Following their marriage they lived on a farm in Gage Valley until they moved to Palmer where they have since resided. He was a member of the Palmer Methodist Church. He attended faithfully and regularly. For the past six years Cranson has been salesman for the McConnon Company. He has greatly enjoyed his contacts and calls upon friends and customers. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Patty Simonson of Palmer and Mrs. Bonnie Harrison of Millard, Nebraska, five grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Wanda Hofrichter, Wood River, Nebraska, Mrs. Angie Hedge and Mrs. Zada Kolbo of Monterey, California, a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
