Bio

She was born in Pettis County, the daughter of Thomas Wasson (Jr.) and Mary Elizabeth Reagan. She married Richard Hayden Payne on Nov.26, 1868. Together they had eleven children. One son George died at age 3. The other children were sons; Thomas, Golden, Oliver, Leslie, Allen, Benjamin, Enoch and Lewis and daughters Emma (Broyles) and Ona (Montgomery). She died at her home at Newland. Death Cert# 33608 All of their children Except Ona Payne Montgomery are buried at Hopewell.
