The Kansas City Star, Kansas City, MO, Saturday, September 15, 1900, p. 1: "John J. Hackett Dead. --- John J. Hackett, who had lived in Kansas City thirty years, died yesterday at the home of M. Nugent, 3213 East Tenth street. He lived for a number of years at 1216 Wyoming street and owned considerable real estate in the West bottoms. His wife died four months ago.
