Bio

Sylvia Teltow, 94, of Florence, TX passed away on March 6, 2014, in Round Rock, TX. She was born to Edward and Emillie Malish on October 23, 1919, in Walburg, TX. After attending Granger High School, she married "the love of her life", Manuel Carl Teltow on January 14, 1936, in Taylor, TX. They spent their first years together farming in Williamson County before putting down roots in Leander in 1944. It was there that she set to the important task of raising their six children while Manuel owned and operated a successful poultry farm. They retired to Florence, TX in 1972 and were faithful members of Florence United Methodist Church, where Sylvia was well known for her pecan pies and baking skills. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 69 years, Manuel, and her siblings: Bill Malish, Elsie Kropp, Bea Cawthon and Alvis Malish. She is survived by her six children; nine grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren and other loving family and friends. Gabriels Funeral Home Obituary March, 2014.
