Decatur Daily - November 11, 1968 Elmous Lonzo Turner Danville - Elmous Lonzo Turner, 76, Danville 3, who died Sunday at a Birmingham Hospital, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at New Friendship Baptist Church, Rev. E. P. Bowling, Rev. Dan Sparkman and Rev. Walter Nunn officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Navalia Turner, Danville 3; three daughters, Mrs. Ferriel Roberts, Danville; Mrs. Martin Henley, Birmingham; Mrs. Ted Swiney, San Francisco, Calif.; two sons, Johnny Turner and Lloyd Turner, both of Birmingham; four sisters, Mrs. Lois Cooley, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Lillian Crow, Somerville; Mrs. Lilly Baker, Decatur; Mrs. Myrtle Shaddick, Decatur; four brothers, Arnold Turner, Danville; Alton Turner,Irby Turner and Doyle Turner, all of Decatur; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Grady Christian, Lester Turner, Edward Hopper, Hollis Cowart, Don Linderman, Louie Key. Honorary pallbearers will be the board of deacons of Walden's Chapel Baptist Church. The body will remain at the residence until it is taken to the church for services. Mr. Turner was a member of Walden's Chapel Baptist Church where he was a deacon and served as chairman of the board of deacons.
