HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Myrtle L. Shaddrix, 84, of Trinity will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Truman Shaddrix officiating. Burial will be in Somerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Shaddrix died Saturday, July 8, 2000, at her home. She was born June 22, 1916, in Morgan County to Zack Turner and Clara Turner. She was a Baptist and homemaker. She is survived by four sons, Truman Shaddrix, Dwight Shaddrix, Dwayne Shaddrix and Carl Shaddrix, all of Hartselle; seven daughters, Betty Blackwood and Carol Carden, both of Somerville, Faytean Cryer of Decatur, Nadine Montgomery of Moulton, Marvalene Rusk of Cullman, Geradene Smith of Falkville and Vickie Steele of Holly Pond; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
