Bio

Barbara Waldschmidt, 63, 2202 Drum, died Monday, Oct. 3 at Hadley Regional Medical Center. She was born March 2, 1920 in Hays, the daughter of Alex and Pauline (Schwalle) Kisner. She married Peter C. Waldschmidt Sept. 30, 1941 at Hays; he died in 1952. She was a housewife and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hays. Survivors include two sons, Gregory, of the home, and Donald, Munjor; three daughters, Virginia Kasper and JoAnn Schmidtberger, both of Hays, and Barbara Sanborn, Hutchinson; five brothers, Al Kisner, Hoisington, Joseph Kisner, Wellington, Colo., and Tony Kisner, Isadore Kisner and Albert Kisner, all of Hays; three sisters, Rose Pfannenstiel, Pauline Herl and Mary Ann Fisher, all of Hays; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with Fathers Albert DeSanctis, Roger Meitl and James Grennan officiating. Ellis County Star, 10/6/1983
