Cooper Review-August 6, 1970-George Perrion "Perry" Martin, 68, former resident of Klondike, died at 1AM Friday in St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services for Mr. Martin were held at 2PM Saturday in the Klondike Church of Christ, J.D. Wheeler officiating. Internment was made in the New Klondike Cemetery, under the direction of Delta Funeral Home. He was born in Delta County Nov. 27, 1901, the son of Clay and Dosie (Moore) Martin. He married the former Allie Faye McGee in Delta County on April 8, 1933. A retired farmer, he had lived in Dallas the past fourteen years. Surviving are his wife,one son, Dwight Martin of Dallas, one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Belha, all of Dallas; two brothers, Vernon Martin of Mountain View, CA., Willie Martin of Ft.Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Donnie Wooten of Amarillo and Mrs. Lizzie Cockren of Honey Grove; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
