Bio

Mary Jane Bailey married John Armstrong McConnell in Arkansas. This branch of the McConnell family has been traced back to about 1700 in Iredell, Ireland. By 1715 the first had settled in Iredell, North Carolina. Husband John died in 1900 in La Veta Colorado and is buried there. He and Mary had three children - Margaret, Ernest, and Robert, also buried in Florida Cemetery. Ernest's wife Earnestine (known as Earnie) is also buried here. The family came to the Durango area shortly before 1920. from Animas Museum & K. Szelag
