Bio
Born to Paul and Anna Ruth (Robb) Hackett, he married Anna Rose (Bryant) Hackett on May 19, 1963, in Peoria. She survives, along with one son, Todd Alan (Angie) Hackett; one grandson, Matthew Ryan Hackett; two brothers, Tom (Gale) Hackett and Tom (Chris) Maloney; and four sisters, Barbara Ray, Sandy (Rick) Kopp, Sue (Jerry) Twyman and Roberta Rivera. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Hackett; mother, Anna Ruth Maloney; his stepfather, Robert Maloney; and one brother, Gene Hackett. Sam worked at Keystone Steel and Wire Co. for 42 years, retiring in May 2006. He also owned and operated Hackett and Son Taxidermy in Bartonville for 30 years.
