Bio

Martin's father, William H.H.Parks was shot by marauding bushwackers when he opened the door of his home during the Civil War. It was reported that Martin was also injured by the gunfire while lying in his crib and and died about six weeks later.

"Son of W.H.H. & E.M. Parks. Died Apr. 6, 1862, aged 10M.5D."
