== Takes Own Life With Gun == "M. D. Mince, aged about 72 years, of the China Grove community, took his own life Wednesday morning of last week by shooting himself in the mouth with a single-barrel shot gun. The deplorable tragedy came as a shock to the entire community, Mr. and Mrs. Mince had broken up housekeeping, owing to their mature age, and were living with their son, Birt, and wife. Mr. Mince secured a shot gun and went out to commit the fatal blow. The report of the gun was heard by the family who found him a few minutes later. He was a good, quiet and peaceable man and held the confidence of all his neighbors and friends. The only supposition for his rash act was that he became discontent because he was unable, physically, to care for himself and good wife. Besides his companion he leaves several children and a host of relatives and friends who lament his untimely death. Edgewood Enterprise."
