Bio

Mrs. Lula Bond, sister of Mrs. Mattie Baker of Athens, died at the home of a son, Wesley Bond in the Tundra community south of Canton Monday morning at 3 o'clock. She had been in ill health for two years and seriously ill for the past three months. Mrs. Bond, about sixty years of age, had resided in Van Zandt county most of her life and was well known in that county. Surviving are her husband, Jim Bond; two sons Wesley and Henry Bond , both of the Tundra community; two brothers, J.B. Mince of the Denman community in Van Zandt county and John Mince of Itasca; two sisters, Mrs. Burgett of Floydada and Mrs. Vena Hollis of California. Mrs. Hollis, a twin sister had been with Mrs. Bond for about the past six months. Mrs. Bond is also survived by five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the grave in the Morris cemetery of Van Zandt county Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Among those attending the services were Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Grover Atchison, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Logan and family and Mrs. M.V. Childers, all of Athens, and Mrs. G.W.
