Charles Ray Parker, 78, Salem, Ore., a former long-time Meridian area resident, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1964, at a Portland, Ore hospital. He was born at Allerton, Iowa Nov. 11, 1887, and came to the Boise Valley in 1903, living in the Meridian area until about three years ago when he moved to Salem. He was married to Ethel May McMullen, Feb. 24, 1908, at Meridian. She preceded him in death Dec. 25, 1951. Mr. Parker was a retired farmer. He is survived by four sons, Alvin Parker of Salem. Ore., Ernest and Leroy Parker, addresses unknown, and Carroll Parker of Napa, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Alpha Sharp of Klamath Falls, Ore., Mrs. Vella Berry of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Donna Quinn of Nyssa, Ore.; a brother, Harry Parker of Homedale, Ida.; five sisters, Mrs. Jay Matthews of Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Addie McMullen of Ontario, Ore., Mrs. Alta Sandford of Nampa, Ida., Mrs. Alma Sear of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Edna Westbrook of Edmonds, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Robison Chapel of the Chimes by Loren Peterson of the LDS Church. Interment will follow at the Meridian Cemetery.
