Bio

Funeral services for Mr. Perry Lynn Johnson, 60, were held at 2 p.m. February 5, 2008, at East Leesville Baptist Church, Rev. Gill Arthur and Irby Perkins officiated. Burial followed in the Forest Lawn Cemetery of Leesville under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Mr. Perry departed from this earthly domain and met with his heavenly father on Feb. 2 after a sudden illness. Perry served our grateful nation in the US Army from 1966 to 1970. Survivors include his wife of 41 years Jennell Johnson of Leesville; mother Vera McCauley of Pitkin; son Timothy Johnson of Houston, Texas; daughter Joni Cowart and husband Jon of Alexandria; brother Paul Johnson and wife Connie of Tyler, Texas; sister Vicki Buxton of Oakdale; one grandson Brady Cowart of Alexandria.
