He had been attending a party when he became deathly ill. It was speculated that he was poisoned but it was never proven. Born: 14 Aug 1881, Augusta, Texas Died: 15 Aug 1920 at age 39 From: "Lively Roots" After the death of Preston T. "Tommie" Lively Vella married W. L. Whitaker, buried at Davis Cemetery
