Joe Barclay, 66, Borger, died Sunday, July 25, 1993 in the VA Medical Center in Amarillo. Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. A native of Alvord, he had been a Borger resident for 17 years. He was a retired mechanic for the City of Borger. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korea and Vietnam Wars. He was a Korea POW. He was a member of BPOE and VFW Post 1789. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of the home; four sons, Rick Barclay of Charleston, S.C.; Steve Barclay of Fayetteville, Ark.; Jeff Barclay of Lubbock; Mark Barclay of Amarillo; a stepson, Randall McDonald of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Sandra Barclay of Albuquerque, N.M.; and six grandchildren. Elvis Peck, pastor of Eternal Light Pentecostal Church., officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
