Cooper Review- Fannie Ruth Grizzle first married Obie Ira Robnett, who passed away in 1960. Fannie Ruth Humphries, 83, of Commerce died Saturday, August 7,in Commerce. Funeral services were held at Pemberton Funeral Chapel in Commerce Sunday, August 8, at 2PM with the Rev. Roy Lee Ditmar officiating. Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery with Tracy Poindexter, Monica Scoggins, Jay Robnett, Kevin Lambert, Kerry Miles, Harold D. Jones, Sheila Lambert, and John Miles serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Humphries was born in Delta County March 6, 1910, daughter of William Franklin and Harriet Austin Grizzle. She was a longtime resident of Delta and Hunt counties. She retired as a nurses aide in 1970. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Commerce and had been a member of the Rebecca's for almost 50 years. She married Gay Humphries June 21, 1968 in Scatterbranch. Survivors include her husband, one son, Cloyce Humphries of Commerce, one daughter, Beth Robnett Scoggins of Duncanville, one sister, Corine Daniels of Odessa; two daughters-in-law, Shirley Robnett of Commerce and Glanda Robnett of Avenal, California; two stepdaughters, Fay Humphries Peden and Linda Humphries Bussa; four stepsons, Bob Humphries, Tony Humphries, Bill Humphries and Roger Humphries; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, O.B. Robnett; three sons, Billy, Terry and Jack Robnett; one grandson, Damon Scoggin and one step-grandson, Jim Ed Humphries.
