Funeral arrangements are pending at Meldrum Mortuary for Mrs. Viola Bowers, Mesa resident fro the past 15 years, who died yesterday afternoon of a heart attack at her home at 1142 W. 9th St. Mrs. Bowers was born Aug. 13, 1880 in Giles County, Tenn. She is survived by her husband Benjamin Burley Bowers, Mesa; six children, Roy B. Bowers, Mrs. Ida Starks and Mrs. Echo Dawson, Mesa; Hyrum Bowers, El Frida; Mrs. Bernice Lindsey, Gilmer, Tex.; and Ernest Bowers, Bisbee. Others surviving are a sister, Mrs. Emma Cody of Phoenix, 29 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
