Bio

B. Burley Bowers, 94, of 1142 W. Ninth St., died Monday, July 2, in a Provo, Utah hospital while visiting relatives. A native of Rochester, Ind., Mr. Bowers came to Mesa in 1940 from Gilmer, Tex. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include three sons, Roy B. of Mesa, Hyrum "Ben" of Kentucky and Ernest of Gilmer, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Ida Starks of Hyde Park, Utah, and Mrs. Echo Dawson and Mrs. Bernice Lindsey, both of Gilmer; a brother and two sisters out of state; 32 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday (July 7). . . Burial will be in Mesa, Cemetery.
