Bio

Beth Marie Barleen was born at Concordia, Kan., on Dec. 9, 1952, to Lloyd and Ila Marie (Larson) Barleen. She attended schools at Valley Heights, Topeka West and graduated from Concordia High School in 1970. She moved to Beattie in 2002 and worked for Blue Valley Tele-Communications. She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, William Barleen in 1979. She is survived by her father Lloyd, of Mesa, Ariz.; cherished friend, Larry Schmitz; daughters, Michelle Foley (Steve), Beattie, Kan., Nicole Sterling, Kansas City, Mo., Davanie Nietfeld (Tony), Home, Kan., Evangeline Armstrong (Justin), Frankfort, Kan., Maisle Jackson (William), Blue Rapids, Kan., Camille Mertens (Steve), Springfield, S.D.; sisters, Jan Barleen, Waterville, Kan., Barbara Barleen-Staerkel, Brenda Barleen-Doehring, Gold Canyon, Ariz.; brothers, Jim Barleen, Ben Barleen, Apache Junction, Ariz.; Jeff Barleen, Ruidoso, N.M.; and 13 grandchildren.
