Bio
Robert Fregia, Sr., 87, of Double Oak, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. He was born September 24, 1921, in Liberty, Texas, to Eli Gustave Fregia and Rosie Ellen Dugot Fregia. He married Melba Jean Hardin in 1946 in Rockwall. She preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was a member of Chinn Chapel United Methodist Church and a home builder. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 12, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 13, 2009, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Little Elm Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Fregia, Danny Fregia, Brian Fangman, Jeremy Dahlen, Wes May and Robbie Wood. He is survived by his daughters, Portia Hawk of Flower Mound and Faye Fregia of Cedar Creek; son, Robert Fregia Jr. of Flower Mound; sisters, Rosa Lee Ingram of Irving and Josephine Fontenot of Silsbee, Texas; brothers, L.E. Fregia of Dallas, John Edward Fregia of Dallas and Lonnie Fregia of Quitman; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and daughter, Lana Robin Fregia-Blackmon.
