REST IN PEACE.. ROSEBUD — Services for Alfons John Doskocil, 91, of Burlington, formerly of Cyclone, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Burlington with the Rev. Joseph Suneet and Deacon Bill Smetana officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Burlington. Mr. Doskocil died Thursday, Aug. 6, in a Rosebud nursing home. He was born on Nov. 28, 1917, to Joe and Matilda Manak Doskocil in Cyclone. He married Elene Beach on Dec. 30, 1947. He was a retired farmer. He was a founding director of BF&M Co-op in Wilson and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, Charles Doskocil. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Doskocil and Douglas Doskocil, both of Burlington; two daughters, Nancy Pechal of Ratibar and Barbara Hoelscher of Westphalia; a sister, Annie Janik of Rockport; and six grandchildren. Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church Building Fund. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
