Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Monday, June 27, 1988 ST PAUL -- Emil L. Piontkowski, 56, of St. Paul, died Saturday, June 25, apparently of a heart attack. (Funeral arrangements omitted here) Mr. Piontkowski was born April 29, 1932, at Loup City, the son of Cash and Clara Slobaszewski Piontkowski. He grew up on a farm near Loup City and attended rural schools. He was a graduate of Loup City High School. He first farmed and later was a truck driver for Rohmann's Transfer Motor Freight Co. On Sept. 15, 1955, he married Wilhelmina Skala at St. Paul. They lived in St. Paul where he continued his work for Rohmann's. Later he worked for the Genuine Auto Parts store in St. Paul. He was in sales and operated a delivery truck, carrying parts to various area communities until hie death. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul parish at St. Paul and Eagles Aeerie No. 378 at Grand Island. Survivors include his wife; his mother of Grand Island; a son, Paul of St. Paul; two daughters, Joyce Piontkowski and Mrs. Henry (Angela) Rodriguez, both of Grand Island; a sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Elaine) Miller of Grand Island; three brothers, Raymond of Omaha, Dennis of Denver and Melvin of Saratoga, Fla., and two grandchildren.
