Paul L. Piontkowski, 66, of Phillips, died Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Tabitha at Prairie Commons in Grand Island. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Rev. Richard L. Piontkowski will officiate. Paul was born on June 3, 1958, in Grand Island, the son of Emil L. and Wilhelmina W. (Skala) Piontkowski. Paul grew up in St. Paul where he received his education and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1976. He was united in marriage to Shirley J. Piontkowski on April 21, 1988, at St. Paul. The couple first lived in St. Paul, later moving to Phillips. Paul worked as a trucker for many years. He loved to hunt & fish. He is survived by his son and his friend, Tom Piontkowski and Kaiti Simons of Phillips; sisters, Angie Piontkowski and Joyce Sydzyik, both of Grand Island; niece, Holly Mendenhall of New York; and nephew, Matthew Mendenhall of Virginia; He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley on April 10 2013; his parents; and his step-father, Lores Wolf.
