Died between March 1871 and July 1916. On July 1916 Roster by Rev John Dunbar. Important Note: This ancestor is listed on the roster only as Chiles Lord. It is believed, through the following research, that Chiles is Chesley Gabriel Lord. Chiles may have been a nickname. Following Research Information provided by Sarah Locklin Taylor: Chesley Gabriel Lord - Son of Solomon H Lord and Cassandra Kellum. Brother of William Dennis and Louisa Verona Jefferson Lord. Half-Brother of Leticia C, Solomon Wesley, Minnie Lee, Anna India "Indie" and Franklin Fair "Frank" Lord. Chesley married, 9 Jan 1880 in Bastrop Co., TX, Nancy Adeline Cottle, a daughter of Zebulon Pike Cottle and Lydia Dancer. Father of Amber Pearl, Gussie Gabriella, Henry Hardy, Cassandra Lydiandra "Cassie", Elzie Solomon and Dennis Chesley Lord. Grandson of Aylesberry B Lord & Drucilla Green and Gabriel Kellum & Sarah Anderson. Chesley died in Bastrop Co., TX and was interred at Ridgeway Cemetery. His grave is unmarked. Chesley's Census Enumerations: 1860 - Thomas Co., GA (C Lord) 1870 - Brooks Co., GA (Chesler Lord) 1880 - Bastrop Co., TX (Chesley Lord - Ancestry does not list the last name as it is smeared on the census page - but the enumeration is the Chesley Lord family.) [Note: In 1900, Nancy Adeline Cottle Lord is enumerated in the Lee Co., TX census as a widow and her name appears as Adaline N Long, but this is her as the 2 children still living with her are Elzie and Dennis.]
