He then married Mearl F. West in 1990. Army veteran of World War II and member of First Church of God, Sullivan. Survivors: wife, Mearl F.; sons, Ron, Lake Wales, Fla.; Richard, Greenville, Texas; daughters, Ruth Cullipher, Mayoch, N.C.; Geraldine Johnson, Lake Wales; brother, Bunnie L., Chestnut; sister, Bonita Watts, Victoria, Texas.
