James Edward Motloch Sr. went to be with our Lord on July 21, 2009, after injuries sustained in a car accident on July 6, 2009. James was born to August Rudolph Motloch Sr. and Annie Frances Vrana Motloch on June 21, 1952. James graduated from Reagan High School in 1972. Known to many as Jamie or String Bean, he lived life to the fullest, never meeting a stranger and always full of jokes. His love for animals and horses led him to ranching in Utah and horse training in New Mexico and Arizona. He returned to Austin in 1976, met Dora Jo (Jo Jo) Goppert Fillenworth in September 1994, and they married on September 22, 2001. James was a loving husband, father and grandfather. James was a heavy equipment operator and built numerous roads and building pads in and around the Austin area, and for the past three and a half years he worked the oilfields of west Texas and lived in Odessa. James kept with his tradition of meeting people and making new friends, enjoying good times, joke telling, barbeques, and Lone Star. His traditions will remain in our memories forever. His mother, Annie Motloch, preceded James in death on July 22, 1992. James is survived by his wife, Jo Jo; children, James Jr. and wife Frances, Nathan Motloch, Dwayne Bartek and wife Holly, Matthew Scott Bartek and wife Cara; granddaughter, Alyssa Nadine Motloch; father, August Motloch Sr. and wife Dorthy; brothers, August Jr. and wife Becky, Henry and wife Cyndi, Raymond and partner Marnie Furbish; sister, Frances Jean and husband Robert Stojanik; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, a very large extended family and many friends.
