F. L. "Dick" was born in Rice, Texas on October 4, 1922, the son of Edger and Callie (Ferguson) Harrison. He attended school in Alma, Texas. He was a farmer and house painter. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the V.F.W. and SOKOL. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emilie Harrison; son, Charles Harrison; sister, Irene Powell, of Deming, New Mexico; four granddaughters: Elizabeth, and her husband, Andy Miller, Audrie, and her husband, Rick Wells, Stacy Harrison and Amber Harrison; four great grandchildren: Katie and Drew Miller, Alyssa and Adam Wells; several nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Markoleta Powell. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 1 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. Fred Caldwell as Celebrant. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Keever's. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Mausoleum, under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. Pall Bearers will be: Sonny Autry, Steven Grier, Jon Paul Honza, Johnny Stephenson, Joe Madden, Jackie Ventrca, Bernie Zmolik and Ryan Zmolik. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and the Alzheimer's Association.
