Bio
Mary M. Zhanel, age 94, passed away early Friday morning May 22, 2009, in the Ennis Care Center. Mary was born to Anton and Mary Dlabaj Zhanel on January 16, 1915. She was raised in Ennis. She was a member of the KJZT, SPJST, Altar Society and the St. John Catholic Church. Mary is survived by two brothers: Frank Zhanel of Ennis and Leslie Zhanel and his wife Wilma of Ennis; one sister, Bessie Laznovsky of Ennis; two sisters-in-law: Marian Zhanel and Geraldine Zhanel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Lilly, John, Annie, Tony, Stanley, George, Edward, and Geraldine. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2009 6-8 p.m., with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the Keever Ennis Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Catholic Church with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Zhanel, Mark Zhanel, Leslie Gene Zhanel, Frankie Macalik, Jero Fuller, and Stuart Hamilton. Serving as an Honarary pallbearer will be Eddie Zhanel, Jr. Services will be under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. www.jekeevermortuary.com
