Daughter of Harry and Minnie Oetken Trueper. She was raised in the Prairie Valley Community where she attended school and church. Married to Ignac Raymond(Bill) Zapalac in 1942 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Smithville, Texas. She later became a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Her children include Willie, Alfred, Bennie and Edmund
