Bio
Bernice T. Twinde was born March 19, 1922, in Ettrick, Wisconsin, daughter of Arthur M. and Julia (Anderson) Twinde. She married Aldon M. "Mike" Hill on June 18, 1941, in Blair, Wisconsin. He died on January 24, 2001. She was a homemaker and had been co-owner of Mike's Feed Service in Maquoketa. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa. She enjoyed bowling, golf, playing cards, needlework, and was a great dancer. She traveled to Arizona each winter with her husband for 23 years. Bernice is survived by one daughter, Audrey (Roger) Wilms, of Maquoketa; a son-in-law, Len Dugan of Maple Plain, Minnesota; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lilah Kittleson of Ettrick, Wisconsin, and one sister-in-law, Hazel Lee of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Barbara Dugan, one grandson, one great-grandson, two sisters, Lucille and Josie, and one brother, Alvin. Bernice T. Hill, 87, of Maquoketa, died on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Maquoketa Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Lahey Funeral Home
