Married Gladys Blackwell. Father of Raymond Lloyd and Opal O'Dell. Cause of death per death certificate: Railroad accident, neck broken by hitting railroad head bridges. Riding on a freight train (C.B. & Q Railroad) Obituary: Hugh O'Dell and Elbert Chandler found dead atop freight car in Brookfield Wednesday. Seen standing on car as train passed thru Chillicothe. Chandler left wife and 3 children. O'Dell left wife and 2 children. Both men past 30, lived here last summer. Burial: March 22, 1929 in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield, MO
