Bio

Douglas was the daughter of A.B. and Katie Shropshire. She married Robert G. Calfee. CALFEE, DOUGLAS SHROPSHIRE - age 83, formerly of Enka Hwy., Morristown, Tennessee, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009, in Cookeville, Tennessee. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Morristown. She was a lifelong homemaker and caregiver to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Calfee; parents, A.B. and Katie Shropshire; brothers, Buford, Don, Delmar, Haskell, Dennis and Darrell Shropshire; and sister, Carolyn Shropshire. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lynn and Tressa Calfee of Jacksonville, Florida, and Bill and Beverly Calfee of Cookeville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Robbie, Heather, and Alyssa Calfee; brothers, Charles and Ellis Shropshire; sisters, Mary Brantly, Bonnie Shropshire, and Phyllis Shropshire; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Mayes Family Services with Rev. James Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Jarnagin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2009 at Mayes Family Services. Arrangements by Mayes Family Services of Morristown.
