Caroline was born in 1847. All that is known so far about her parents is that her mother's last name was Alexander. Caroline was the first wife of Rev. Wade Wayman Wright Hampton. They married in 1860 when Caroline was only 13 years old. Wade and Caroline had two children: John William, born May 6, 1861, and S. A. "Betty". "Betty" was born September 12, 1864 and died October 22, 1865. I believe that Caroline, probably died on or about the same day at the young age of 18 years. As of this date, I still have not found out for sure where Caroline and her baby are buried. But I have listed them in this cemetery, because this is where Caroline's husband; Rev. Wade Wayman Wright Hampton is buried. This Suggested Edit Below is from Contributor: J Williams (47761236) August 22, 2020 Pauline Caroline was the 3rd child of 6 from Nathan B Holder & Martha Livingston's children Martha's 2nd husband was John Preston Alexander, they had no children. Pauline Caroline Holder married Wade W Hampton & had 2 children with him before she was 18. I have been searching Caroline & her daughter Betty for several years & have hit a brick wall, it's like they disappeared. I believe they were both buried on her father's land in Bell county near Mustang Creek, but have not yet proven it. Caroline must have died in childbirth or complications of childbirth after Betty was born on September 12, 1864. Caroline's husband married Mary Elizabeth Jackson Medart on June 8, 1865...and S A Betty died on October 22, 1865. Betty's birth & death came from my grandmother's family journal, Marriage of Wade & Mary came from Gainsville marriage records. She did not record Caroline's birth or death dates.
